Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha will conduct OSSTET (Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test) 2019 in October. BSE Odisha is expected to release the official OSSTET 2019 notification soon, and the application process for the same is likely to be initiated from the 2nd week of September 2019. Qualifying OSSTET 2019 is mandatory for the appointment as a teacher or a career as a teacher in any of the secondary schools across Odisha. Therefore, candidates aspiring to become teachers in secondary schools must clear OSSTET exam. BSE Odisha conducts OSSTET once a year, and the board accepts only an online application for the same.
Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha conducts Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) in order to select candidates for the appointment of teacher for Classes I to VIII in government, private aided, and private unaided schools of Odisha.
It may be noted that clearing OTET exam does not guarantee employment of a candidate in a school. “It is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment,” states the official website.
All candidates who have cleared their Class XII or graduation are eligible to appear for OTET exam. The teaching eligibility test is conducted for two papers [Category A (Paper I) and Category B (Paper II)]. However, candidates can apply for only one paper. Also, a candidate who is eligible for paper II is not eligible to apply for paper I, informs the official website.
